Hello my name is Emma Galvin and I am thrilled to be an Assistant Principal at Mirniyan Primary School. I, alongside the team here at Mirniyan, value educating the whole child, and believe all students thrive best when learning is tailored to meet their individual needs and challenge their thinking.
My teaching career began at Aspendale Gardens as a prep teacher and over the past 17 years, I have taught in all grade areas at Lyndhurst Primary School. I have had roles including Learning Specialist, Leading Teacher and Acting Assistant Principal. My specialised interest is in inclusive education and I have a Masters in Applied Behavioural Science. I’m excited to share my love for learning with the students and teachers as we create our brand-new school.
In my spare time, you’ll find me playing on the beach with my family or taking my new dog Snugs for a walk. My favourite colour is yellow (the same yellow in our school logo!) I wonder if you can spot me wearing my favourite colour?
I am so excited to meet our wonderful Mirniyan community, and get to know you and your families.

Hi everyone! I am beyond excited to be one of the foundation teaching staff members joining Mirniyan Primary School in 2025.
I have been working with children in an educational setting for over a decade, through a mixture of classroom teaching and outside school hours care.
